One more I would add is shop for food at supermarkets after 9pm. That’s when you can find a lot of stuff for 30-50% off

Great article. If you want to save even more money when shopping for furniture and get a much larger selection, check out Nitori. They are a huge company that works very similar to Ikea and the prices are very cheap.

I recently moved to Japan and we stayed in the Kimi Roykan and it was very nice!
I recommend it they also provide free tours and help with finding jobs or housing.
