It’s a known saying that in Tokyo you can really see the future. But again Japanese people surprise us with their ideas.

If you want a spectacular wedding, why not doing it in space? A new service in Japan let you book your space wedding in advance from the now. The new service is being offered by Rocketplane, a company in Japan that plans on space trips, in cooperation with First advantage (a marketing company), and Ladirb, a Japanese wedding planning company.

The guests will have to stay on ground, while you float in a spaceship with your loved one 100km above ground for about an hour. The ceremony will be transmitted live to your guests. You get a video of the ceremony, a photo album, and help with accommodation to your guests.

In order to get on this spaceship you will have to go through four day training. Which will undoubtedly can do miracles to your relationship before the wedding. "Honey, do I look fat in this space suit?" are the kind of question that you will have to deal with. We also don’t guarantee that you won’t get a little dizzy on your wedding night, after floating in outer space.

For this nice original wedding you will have to get 2.22 million dollars or 240 million yen if you live in Japan. That’s a lot cheaper than getting your wife a new luxury house on the coast of San-Francisco, for example. Registration starts next month, and the weddings are planned to start at 2011.

If you met your bride in a Japanese maid café, and you plan on raising a robo-dog, we see no other option than to start this weird family somewhere in the galaxy. And we still don’t want to think what your mother in law will have to say on all of this.

The new bakery calls itself Shirohige no shou cream kobo, which is translated into White-bearded’ cream puff workshop. Don’t miss out the beautiful bakery website.

The bakery is a huge success, and all of 100 puffs made for each day are gone in 10 minutes from opening. Custard and raw cream puffs are sold for $3.60 (390 yen), maron and maron cream puffs are sold for $3.90 (420 yen). All of the ingredients are carefully chosen, and some of them are organic or imported.

It didn’t take long for our beloved Japanese geeks to get some more services handled by beautiful maids.

The maid costume is very popular in akihabara neighborhood in Tokyo, where you can find many cafés with maid waitresses. The young geeks called otaku really enjoy being served by a maid.

Many times you can finds girls wearing the costume on the streets, promoting the cafés they work in. there is even an English school where the teacher wear the lovely black and white dress.

Now a place called NTK Systems in the neighborhood now provide the same dry cleaning and locker service as before with a tiny change: the front desk clerk is now wearing a maid costume.

According to the report at akibamap, the prices are pretty much the same as for other cleaners. So the special treatment by the maid, actually doesn’t cost you a thing if you need dry cleaning. Wonder how much they charge for a dry cleaning to a maid costume.

We know already that there is a maid café near Los Angeles, but what about some more maid business around America?

The art of “Dekotora” “or in simple English “pimping trucks” is a very know art in Japan. The truckers are decorating the trucks with neon lights, shiny paints and add everything that can be glued to the top of the truck. These trucks are used only as hobby trucks only and do not being used as commercial trucks.

The trend has probably begun in the ’70, and was inspired by a film called “Trucker”. The main character in the film drives a much customized truck.

And what’s better than some of the beautiful Japanese maids that walk around in Tokyo? If you still doesn’t know in Akihabara neighborhood in Tokyo you get into maid cafes, where the waitresses are dressed as maids. Don’t think that the girls are disadvantaged. There are also male cafes, where you can see men dressed as maids. You also have mom cafes where they dressed as moms – but that’s for a different visit to Tokyo.

They are dressed like this because of the Otaku – Japanese geeks – who love to see the girls in this outfit as part of their love to anima, the Japanese animation.

The ministry of tourism in Japan hopes that due to the popularity of this too-cute feline, tourists from neighboring countries will flock to Japan and spent some cash. As well informed readers of Japanite! already know the country offer tourist attractions like maid cafes and robot wars.

The mega cat is apparently 34 years old, and was invented by Sanrio, a toy company. since then, the kitty has appeared on 50,000 products in 60 countries.

This isn’t the first time that Japanese expect their drawn figures to bring them tourists. Just a month ago the Japanese foreign minister appointed Doraemon, the anime cat, as an “anime ambassador”.

We wish good luck to the cute cat, but still thinks that Nahoko Shimada, the McDonalds porn start might have been a better in attracting the sophisticated tourists.

2.5% of fifth graders in Japan play console games that include sexual and erotic themes. That’s according to a survey done by the National Congress Parents and Teachers Associations of Japan. What’s more amazing is that 34.9% of the children reported that they have email friends that their parents don’t know about. Not surprisingly they send 51 emails every day to each other.

In a recent survey in Japan about video games, it was discovered that the children doesn’t go to arcade halls, and just stay at home to play their consoles. The children were very convincing for why they prefer the home consoles.

Arcades are expensive, noisy and filled with cigarette smoke,” said 15-year-old Gene Sato, adding that he would rather save his money to go to a theme park. “Besides, I can stay home and play NBA Live on PlayStation 3.”

Or maybe it’s just because they can’t watch their favorite erotic games in the arcade?

A maid café’ is opened recently is the Royal/T in Culver City near Los Angeles. The café will serve dishes like miso sandwiches and Japanese chicken curry rice. In The deserts section you will find Kyoto sunset parfait and a variety of Japanese teas.

The 10,000 ft. Royal/T will also serve as an art gallery and a shop that will offer Japanese art, books, toys and more. It’s seems the aim of the space is to expose the huge Japanese art collection Susan Hancock, an art collector.

The last attempt to export the idea of custom play restaurants (or “cosplay café” as it called in Japan) wasn’t so successful. The “I Maid Café” was opened in Toronto in October 2006 and was closed two years after. That’s although the Canadian maid café, got covered in national newspaper and a TV show. The video below shows an interview with the Canadian maid café owner.

If maid cafes are new to you (and even if they don’t) you might be surprised to know that the Japanese have taken it a step ahead. The new trend is drag maid cafes where men are dressed as maids.

They are dressed as women and greet customers as women, but they are not. The cafes can be found in the Akihabara districts in Tokyo – which the technology district. The neighborhood attracts the Japanese otaku, the young people that are admiring anime, manga and video games. And it seems that are willing to pay more for this service.

Strange Maid cafes are out, mom serving you cake – in. It appears that geeks in Japan are bored with the Anima and Manga cafes all around them, and quick entrepreneurs cashing on this desire.

The new Mother cafe in Osaka is offering it’s customers “mom-like” experience from the waitresses. The are greeted in friendly tones, can feed you, listen to your troubles. Even though that some of the “mom’s” are 19 years old only, the owner of the place promises that they “look older than their age” and capable of “understating people worries”.

We will not be surprised if will see the adult version of this soon. Where Otaku (Japanese geeks) will get spanked if they will not finish their meal.
